FRAGRANCE: Lavender & Piñon
50% of all sales are donated to The Pink Warrior House, a non-profit in Albuquerque, NM that provides services, information and support for breast cancer patients.
For those of you who have gone with me on my Enchanted Sugar journey, you know that my company was created after I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. While October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are three things you can do all year:
1. Go through your contacts and send a text to every woman you know over 40 and ask them if they have had a mammogram this year. They need to get this done, early detection is the path to survival.
2. Do you know someone who currently has cancer, a survivor, or someone who has lost someone to cancer? Take them to lunch or dinner and see how they are doing. A caring conversation is the best healing balm.
Sometimes we get so busy in our lives that we forget that someone we know is suffering and just needs to hear that you care about them.
3. I believe in keeping donations local, so I encourage you to make a donation directly to Pink Warrior House (PWH), here in Albuquerque.
Allison who created this wonderful non-profit is connecting patients with local service providers that help someone right now. When you get breast cancer you are not only fighting for your life, you are also handling stress, and financial challenges, looking for that perfect wig, and trying to find a bra that fits! The Pink Warrior House can help with so many basic needs for breast cancer patients.
I get asked quite a bit why I chose pink for my Enchanted Sugar logo, I have even been told it's not a power color for a company.
I chose pink to be the color of my logo because I am a Breast Cancer survivor, and I am reminded of that every time I pour a candle and meet a new customer. Enchanted Sugar exists because I survived and I have never taken that for granted.
I created this candle for PWH so they will have an item that can generate donations all year, and not just in October. When you purchase this candle you are supporting a local, incredibly worthy non-profit, and I encourage you to donate to them directly here:
Thank you so much!
